Koinonia Cultural Development Centre

Koinonia is a Greek word that means communion by intimate participation. It means: fellowship, sharing in common, communion. It describes the relationship within the Early Christian church as well as the act of breaking bread in the manner which Christ prescribed during the Passover meal (John 6:48-69, Matthew 26:26-28, 1 Corinthians 10:16, 1 Corinthians 11:24). As a result the word is used within the Christian Church to participate, as Paul says, in the Communion of - in this manner it identifies the idealised state of fellowship and community that should exist - Communion. The Koinonia Cultural Development Centre, which is an arm of the Chris Delvan Gwamna Ministries International, seeks to advance this culture of fellowship. It is an Apostolic Community where relationships are to be developed and bridges will be built that would become platforms for Kingdom Advancement which is the core dream and vision behind everything. All manner of conferences that have to do with the other core issues with will be convened here. Here an Apostolic Community is being developed, where the different aspects of the community will interact, and build bridges that will become stepping stones for Kingdom Advancement. The core vision of the KCDC is Kingdom Advancement. The early Church devoted themselves to Fellowship amongst other things - Acts 2:42. Koinonia was central to all they did! Christian fellowship is a key aspect of the Christian life. Believers in Christ are to come together in love, faith, and encouragement. That is the essence of koinonia. Koinonia is being in agreement with one another, being united in purpose, and serving alongside each other. Our koinonia with each other is based on our common koinonia with Jesus Christ In the Benediction we say: The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God the Father and the Communion (Fellowship) of the Holy Spirit … be with you all (1 Corinthians 13:14). This communion is koinonia. As seen from the foregoing Scripture, the place where brethren meet for fellowship is the Holy Spirit. Understanding the terrain and the circumstances in which we operate will help us understand that we need to have cover that we operate under. KCDC advances an emphasis on the truth that the Kingdom of God is already come, and the necessary ingredient that will foster its existence and subsequent advancement is KOINONIA. The Kingdom of God will only advance in the earth when brethren dwell together in Fellowship.
